A catch-all functionality that is enabled for a given mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to email addresses that do not actually exist. Otherwise stated, if you delete an email address and somebody still sends an email to it, or to any misspelled email address under the very same domain name, you’ll get the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be crucial if you run a company, for example. Since you may start receiving unsolicited bulk email messages, you can use the catch-all feature with anti-spam filters so as to receive only legitimate messages in your inbox. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Web Hosting

If you host a domain on our cloud platform and you’ve got a web hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all functionality for any email mailbox that you create under the domain name. The Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section offers quite a lot of features, but it’s incredibly intuitive, so setting up a catch-all mailbox requires just one single click. All the email addresses that you’ve set up will be listed in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll only have to click the "Catch-all" button for the concrete address. Our system will warn you if there is already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or choose a different mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as simple and takes one more click on the exact same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

A catch-all address can be created with a few mouse clicks if you’ve got a Linux semi-dedicated package with our company. The semi-dedicated account will be managed through our custom Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you’ll be able to set up mailboxes under any domain name hosted there. To enable the catch-all functionality for a given mailbox, you will need to click the sign with the exact same name, which will be to the right of each mailbox. Deactivating this functionality can be achieved in the very same way and will not take more than a click either. In case the catch-all option has already been activated for a given domain name, you’ll receive a warning message. The same is valid if the mailbox that you’d like to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never modify or deactivate anything automatically.
